This website is dedicated primarily to the genealogy of the FENNAs.
The site is owned, designed and maintained by Roger Fenna of Black Mountain NC, USA. I was born in 1947 in Stafford, England, attended Tenterbanks County Primary School followed by King Edward VI Grammar School in Stafford. I graduated from Leeds University with a BSc. in Biochemistry in 1969 and went on to earn a D. Phil. degree in Molecular Biophysics from Corpus Christi College, Oxford in 1973. Following graduation I emigrated to the United States of America and my post-doctoral years were spent at The University of Oregon in Eugene and UCLA. From 1979 to 2012 I was employed by The University of Miami in Florida as a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I presently work part-time as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at UNCA. I have 2 children: Elaine and Ian. Elaine is an attorney, living in New York and Ian lives in Asheville, NC.
